Verizon Business Finalizes the Agreement to acquire BlueJeans, a video conferencing and event platform

Fremont, CA: The telecom giant Verizon Business acquires BlueJeans Network, a trusted enterprise-grade video conferencing and event platform. The definitive acquisition agreement will extend Verizon’s capabilities in an immersive unified communications portfolio. The cloud-based video service, BlueJeans, caters to a wide variety of business sectors from small startups to the world’s largest multinational companies and has also participated significantly in continuing these companies’ operations during the on-going work-from-home surge. 

The transaction will blend BlueJeans’ simplified, smart, and trusted meeting platform with Verizon’s unified communications as a service business. Customers will benefit from a BlueJeans enterprise-grade video experience on Verizon’s high-performance global networks. Additionally, the platform will be incorporated into Verizon’s 5G product roadmap, providing secure and real-time engagement solutions for high growth areas, including telemedicine, distance learning, and field service work.
